    The Digital Sales Manager, as part of the CUSA Digital Platforms team, oversees all businesses pertaining to the digital distribution of Capcom IP. While reporting to the SVP of Digital Platforms, the candidate works with regional teams in Japan, Europe and Asia to promulgate digital distribution business on Microsoft Xbox/Windows Store, Sony PlayStation Store, and other popular and upcoming distribution platforms and schemes (e.g., subscription model and streaming content).  The candidate will manage Microsoft and Sony 1st party relationship to promote Capcom content on digital stores, while forging new relationships with other 1st party stakeholders to maximize revenue and product placement opportunities in all areas of sales and marketing.


    As a part of the sales administration, the candidate will cooperate with the Business Strategy Analyst who is responsible for overall digital sales forecasting, reporting, and analysis. The DSM furthermore works closely with marketing & PR as it relates to the planning and execution of promotional activities from his/her assigned account including pre-order incentive planning, seasonal sales, and new product launch events. The DSM also seeks out tertiary business opportunities with companies hosting new distribution services including cloud streaming, subscription, and F2P models.

    It is recommended that the person in this role have a BA/BS degree in a business or technology related field with at least 3 years of experience in the gaming industry.  This individual must be a highly self-motivated, proactive, critical thinker, and be able to make and execute upon impactful decisions based on in-depth knowledge of industry trends. It is important that the DSM be organized, goal-oriented, possess strong interpersonal skills, and passionate about the Capcom brand. Bilingual ability in Japanese and English is preferred.

    1. Essential Functions & Responsibilities
    • Keeps track of quarterly and annual sales target and formulate sales/promotion strategies to achieve budget target for platforms the candidate is responsible for.
    • Maximize revenue by planning and executing price promotions and bundles tied to seasonality, new releases and other strategically appropriate windows of opportunity.
    • Formulate and execute promotional and pre-order activities with distribution partners pertaining to all digital products catalog and new.
    • Work closely with marketing and brand teams on executing pre-order incentive programs
    • May work with Licensing Dept. or other consumer products divisions on collaborative business development opportunities such as promotions, product collaborations and licensing.
    • Manage relationships with existing digital distribution partners, including first parties.
    • Forge new digital distribution relationships to expand our access to the market.
    • Coordinate intra-company communication, contracts and approvals for all pricing, promotional and product release timing strategy & issues; including communication with parent company and other Capcom group entities.
    • Conceive of new digital business opportunities that leverage the digital distribution channel, including new distribution methods – cloud streaming, subscription, and bundle services.
    • Coordinate with product development and the submissions team on product release activities with our digital distribution partners.
    • Coordinate with marketing to ensure all partners have access to appropriate promotional materials (manuals, screenshots, trailers, etc.).
    • Coordinate all required approvals and contracts on behalf of our digital distribution partners with legal, IP, management, product development and marketing.

    • Excellent project management and quantitative/analytical skills
    • Ability to lead cross-functional, multi-regional teams
    • Adept in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
    • Experience handling legal contracts with strong ability to negotiate key terms
    • Conversant with the latest trends in gaming, especially pertaining to emerging markets and distribution strategies
    • Familiar with the product pipeline from concept approval to 1st party submission and launch.
    • Strong partner management skills and ability to lead complex, high level business discussions worth multi-millions of dollars in sales revenue and marketing funds
    • Highly organized with ability to manage numerous projects/assignments at once


    1. Minimum Requirements

      Education and Experience

    • BA/BS degree with outstanding academic performance; technical/product background
    • 2 years of experience in sales, including 3 years of gaming product experience
    • Exceptional written/oral communication skills in English
    • Japanese proficiency and international experience a strong plus

      Licenses, Certificates and Other

    • A valid California Class A Driver’s License
