    Position Summary

    An individual contributor position responsible for executing age rating acquisitions and other ESRB-board related processes. Also responsible for supporting the Submissions Project Manager in executing first party game submissions. This person will interact with internal and external stakeholders to communicate, update and execute on various age-rating and submission-related processes throughout the product’s lifecycle.


    Essential Functions & Responsibilities

    • Primary point of contact to the Entertainment Software Ratings Board(ESRB) for all Capcom products
    • Establish & maintain a schedule and list of requirements for ratings and communicate that to development, QA, marketing and other stakeholders to ensure ratings certificates are issued on time
    • Review and submit the required materials(videos, forms, packaging, etc.) to the ESRB
    • Communicate rating results to internal stakeholders
    • Review internal ESRB processes on a quarterly basis and make revisions when necessary
    • Works with accounting to ensure ratings costs are managed and assigned properly
    • Provide assistance in obtaining DJCTQ ratings for all Capcom products
    • Assists in generating P.O.s needed to fund various submission processes
    • Assist in documenting various 1st party (i.e. Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft, Steam, etc.) submissions processes
    • Assist in executing various 1st party (i.e. Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft, Steam, etc.) submissions processes
    • Assist in providing internal stakeholders key information regarding 1st Party policies, guidelines, procedures and timelines
    • Assist in managing a publishing tracker for each title assigned. Regularly review the progress of deliverables and proactively follow up with responsible parties to ensure all components are delivered on time
    • Assist in coordinating between internal stakeholders & 1st party contacts to solve ratings, submissions & development issues
    • Assist in delivering code & metadata assets to 1st parties in support of game publishing operations
    • Assist in coordinating with Product Development, Marketing and Creative Services, Operations, Sales and regional submissions teams throughout the product development cycle. Supports these teams by providing help with logistics, scheduling, communications, and other publishing related services associated with assigned project.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent organizational skills which enable management of detail-oriented, fault-intolerant processes
    • Expected to develop a comprehensive level of knowledge pertaining to the ESRB’s rating acquisition & enforcement policies
    • Expected to develop a working level of knowledge pertaining to 1st party publishing policies and procedures
    • Can clearly communicate necessary information about relevant ESRB and 1st party processes to internal stakeholders
    • Can interact with internal and external peers and/or managers to exchange semi-complex information related to assigned activities to resolve semi-complex issues
    • Ability to negotiate favorable outcomes in difficult situations
    • Ability to keep track of project finances and financial approvals is preferred
    • Ability to apply basic to advanced problem solving techniques and solve complex problems in effective ways
    • Ability to work independently to drive tasks and short-to-mid size projects to completion
    • Ability to report the status of assigned projects and appropriately escalate when roadblocks are encountered
    • Ability to work with others across all levels and divisions of the organization to achieve company goals
    • Able to plan, prioritize and manage a challenging workload
    • Able to work with teams in multiple locations and different time zones
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and other essential business software
    • Working knowledge of industry standard project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence & Hansoft preferred
    • Knowledge of 1st Party procedures preferred
    • Familiarity with FTP, and Video editing software preferred


    Education and Experience

    • At least 3 years of project management or equivalent experience, preferably within the game’s industry
    • Experience with Jira and Confluence is preferred
