    Position Summary:

    A senior executive role in Capcom USA, Inc.’s business organization responsible for executing operational strategy within the organization’s strategic and policy framework. 

     

    This role has full oversight and responsibility of the functions of console sales, digital platform sales, brand marketing, and other business units as assigned.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Works with the Chief Executive Officer in formulating current and mid to long-range business strategy, business plans, objectives and policies.
    • Enhances alignment with the vision of the Chief Executive Officer.  Interacts and negotiates with the organization's Chief Executive Officer, major shareholders, major customers and the organization's top management. 
    • Responsible for directing and executing Capcom’s business operations to achieve organizational and operating objectives and targeted financial results. Plans and oversees the organization's operating plans. 
    • Provides leadership and direction to the organization to ensure the attainment of revenue and profit goals.
    • Formulates and executes business development opportunities on Capcom’s behalf. Establishes strategic partnerships with first parties and external partners in the areas of traditional platforms (Console, digital, licensing, etc.) as well as researching emerging technology and business opportunities.
    • Establish a marketing strategy and set marketing priorties for the North American market. Develop programs and strategies to creatively build awareness of Capcom’s brand and products to build demand in the North American Market.
    • Through subordinate executives, directs management of one or more major organization units.  Ensures that direct reports have appropriate resources to achieve defined objectives. 
    • Responsible for the development of the organization, personnel, product technology, and marketing resources.
    • Accountable for communication of strategic direction to direct reports and overseeing the development and execution of tactical plans to best achieve product brand marketing, console & digital sales distribution, market share, and Capcom’s global growth objectives.
    • Provide strong leadership with respect to product and brand marketing for the Western Market.
    • May be assigned to support  and execute Capcom Co. Ltd.’s global growth objectives for the western region.
    • Establish and oversee effectiveness of the product greelight proecess fostering communication between marketing and product development partners to influence product effectiveness in the Western and global markets as appropriate.
    • Establish internal documented processes and oversee effectiveness of communication and information flow through to global business units and 3rd party business partners.
    • Establish foundation for in-depth value added research and analysis of industry trends, market conditions, competitive market, and technology needed for business planning and the decision making process. Ensures timely and meaningful market research information and feedback is communicated to influence stakeholders and to produce products that will maximize revenue and profit goals in the North American market. 
    • Establish and foster effective relationships with Capcom U.S.A., Inc.‘s parent company senior management group.
    • Other projects as assigned.

    REQUIREMENTS

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

     

    • Requires Bachelors degree in related field and 10-15 years of related experience in US and global product marketing and distribution. MBA preferred.
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills required.
    • Frequent domestic and international travel.
    • Is a proven leader in establishing vision, values, strategic and operational directions that drive success of an enterprise.
    • Excellent understanding of market research and ability to provide clear feedback and direction to R&D, stakeholders and other relevant parties regarding consumer preferences and market trends.
    • Experience within games industry and/or consumer products, within a highly competitive sector.
    • Proven track record of innovative marketing that produces sales revenues and grows market share.
    • Strong leadership skills and ability to attract and develop talent and motivate a team.
    • Experience working at a Mulitnational Corporation within a Japanese business culture.
    • Bi-ligual English/Japanese a plus.
