    Position Summary:

    Capcom is looking for a Translator/Production Coordinator with a passion for video games to join our team. We’re a dedicated, hard-working group that loves what we do and loves the brands we get to work on.


    The Translator/Production Coordinator will assist the Associate Producer to facilitate internal and external communication regarding both game production and marketing tasks. Specific tasks include the translation of e-mails, documents, and materials as well as providing interpretation services during video conferences and face to face meetings. Translation and interpretation are provided in both directions (i.e. – Japanese to English and English to Japanese).



    The below duties will be performed in relation to game production and product management:

    • Act as liaison between multiple subsidiaries of Capcom (CJ, CEE, etc.), coordinating and facilitating in order to form a bridge that streamlines the workflow and communication between parties.
    • Translation of e-mail correspondence and related development/marketing materials.
    • Interpretation at video conferences and face to face meetings with internal and external parties.
    • Interpretation at promotional events and industry trade shows as needed.

    Minimum Requirements


    Education and Experience

    • Japanese Language Proficiency Level 1 Certification (or equivalent)
    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • Experience in translation and interpretation in both directions in Japanese and English
    • Knowledge of and interest in the video game industry, including industry specific terminology in both languages
    • Strong communication skills, both written and spoken
    • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, etc.)
    • The ability to multitask and to manage multiple projects at once with competing levels of priority
    • Familiarity with Japanese business practices and culture
    • Strong familiarity with Capcom brands preferred. Familiarity with fighting games a plus.

    • Some travel may be required, primarily domestic with possible international trips.
    • Standing for long periods of time may be required

    • Additional work hours may be involved – willing to work overtime into the evening and on weekends, if needed
