OVERVIEW

Job Title: Associate Director of Esports

Reports to: Sr. Director, Licensing & Esports

FLSA Classification: Exempt

 

Position Summary:

Responsible for all production and content management of the Capcom Pro Tour and Capcom esports initiatives, including live streaming, asset creation and post launch content. 

 

Responsible for the strategic creation of online content surrounding all Capcom Esports brands, building and maintaining community content channels, and creating new revenue through content monetization and community outreach.  

 

Supervision Exercised 

Manages and supervises the Digital Marketing Manager and Esports Specialist

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for the implementation of Capcom’s vision for esports and grow it into an industry leader
  • Manage the full operations of the Capcom Pro Tour and oversee Capcom Esports licensing initiatives
  • Responsible for all aspects required for the successful set up and execution of all Capcom Pro Tour streams
  • Develop new revenue opportunities through content monetization, event licensing, distribution and sponsorhips
  • Manage the Esports revenue and expense budgets and ensure expenses stay within budget and revenue goals are met
  • Departmental management duties including mentorship and cross-departmental coordination.
  • Responsible for planning, assigning, and directing of work; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; interviewing, hiring, and training employees.
  • Management of all key vendors required to execute the Capcom Pro Tour
  • Sponsorship management and key point of contact with distribution and first party console partners
  • Maintain and optimize the social media channels across all Capcom Esports brands
  • Produce monthly reports which include Esports website, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Twitch statistics
  • Determines the appropriate Department Staff to be the outward facing community advocate for esports initiatives or may advocate personally if required.

Minimum Requirements

 

Education and Experience

 

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Public relations, journalism, marketing, advertising, communications, or related field.  4-7 years experience in digital media, digital asset management or video editing/broadcast production. Previous management or supervisory experience.

Physical Demands

Position will require travel to work key marketing events, and management of associated live stream productions.
