Position Summary

The role of Manager, Channel Marketing & Consumer Products Manager reports to V.P. Sales and is a liaison and partner to Sales, Marketing, LCP and Digital Platform teams.  Responsible for the development, production and execution of effective retail marketing programs and promotional campaigns in-store and online for U.S, Canada, Latin America as well as other emergent retail sales channels.


In addition, the role will be responsible for budget planning/analysis, new product development, inventory management, organizing and working all Capcom store events, interface with Digital River for the online store, working with manufacturers and vendors, and working with the Licensing department in creating synergies in product development and sales.

III. Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the sales team and execute high-impact territory launch retail campaigns in the U.S., Canada and Latin America 
  • Develops channel marketing plans and leads the implementation of marketing campaigns and promotions including display, co-op advertising programs and in-store events.
  • Work with marketing on implementing effective pre-order campaigns
  • Track and monitor merchandising and promotional items inventory for the retail channel 
  • Working directly with buyers, retail representatives and/or sales representatives to execute program and promote titles 
  • Partner with Creative Services to acquire assets and customized product related art for specific retail opportunities 
  • Manage retail channel and first party trade shows and in-store events, present titles when needed 
  • Analyze and track programs to evaluate effectiveness 
  • Process paperwork through internal approval process 
  • Ensure cost control while maximizing efficiencies and maintaining quality programs  
  • Accountable for Channel Marketing budget.
  • As needed, planning for and attending annual consumer shows 
  • Ad needed, manage post-show financial reconciliations with finance 
  • Manage inventory levels at Warehouse, and Digital River 
  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day with Digital River; setting up new items, adding additional inventory, ensure customer service issues are resolved in a timely manner, host weekly call with DR team 
  • Manage and oversee the Capcom store site is updated and current at all times so the consumer has the best experience possible 


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree or 8 years work related Channel Marketing experience
  • Requires minimum of 4 years Channel Marketing management experience
  • Proven talent in the creative development and execution of successful Channel Marketing and merchandising campaigns
  • Results-oriented organized project manager
  • Excellent negotiator
  • Relationship building professional
  • Experience coordinating events
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Skilled presenter to both small and large groups
  • Ability to speak Spanish would be helpful, but not required.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office and presentation software required
  • Must be able to travel to buyer meetings, retail and first party trade shows
  • Must be able to interact with various levels of management and consumers
  • Must be able to reconcile inventory and money after company events

Minimum Requirements


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or 8 years work related Channel Marketing management experience
  • Requires minimum of 4 years Channel Marketing management experience
  • Results oriented project manager
  • Excellent written and verbal communication required
  • Advanced skills in MS Office and presentation software required

Licenses, Certificates and Other

A valid California Class A Driver’s License.

  • This position occasionally requires walking long distances to the trade show booth. 
  • Standing and walking for extended periods of time at trade show booth.
  • Attendance at the trade show booth for up to 10 hours at a time. 
  • Constantly talking with store managers or consumers.
  • Lifting boxes up to 40lb may be required on an occasional basis.

Work is generally performed in an office environment and the noise level is usually moderate.


Occasionally working in a very loud trade show environment.
