Data Analyst (Temporary, Full-Time)

Job Title: Data Analyst, Strategic Planning (Temporary, Fulltime)



Reports to: Director, Strategic Planning


Position Summary
Reports to the Director of Strategic Planning


Works with the Director to gather sales data, compile monthly reports, and provide analysis to Capcom’s overall video game publishing business.


Remote work options may be negotiated for non-local candidates

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Prepares monthly reports. 
    • Gathers sales and BI data from NPD and other North American market research, databases and other online sources on a monthly basis.
    • Assesses and compiles relevant data into a monthly report to be shared with Capcom’s key stakeholders.
    • Performs analysis of relevant data and provides qualitative analysis on market trends, purchase patterns and promotional beats, as well as recommendations to strategize Capcom’s business growth.
  • Works with the Director to accurately monitor, record, and maintain KPI and metrics with Capcom’s titles.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • English and Japanese bilingual highly preferred
  • Strong organizational skills, detail oriented and ability to self-manage
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Basic knowledge of Capcom’s IP (flagship brands such as Street Fighter, Resident Evil, Mega Man, Devil May Cry, Monster Hunter etc.)
  • Proficient in office software applications such as MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Tableau and SQL is a plus.

Minimum Requirements

  • Passion for video games, social and pop-cultural trends

Education and Experience

  • Requires Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Statistics background
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience, ideally within the videogame or entertainment industries
  • Experience working at a Japanese company highly preferred
